Swimming Slows Down Ageing We all know that swimming is great, but did you know it can slow down the ageing process? A long-term study at Indiana University Bloomington’s Counsilman Center for the Science of Swimming found that Masters Swimmers (those aged 35 and above) who swam roughly 3,200 to 4,500 metres (3.2 to 4.5 kilometres) three to five times a week, delayed their ageing process.
