At MoovSwim, we focus on a fun, happy, secure approach to encourage babies aged 6 to 12 months to appreciate and enjoy playing in water. Our baby swimming lessons incorporates the use of songs and toys, and we engage children and parents to participate in activities crafted to inculcate water safety and build water confidence.
We do not recommend baby swimming lessons for babies under 6 months of age. However, during this period, parents should be advised on how to use the bath to introduce babies in the newborn stage to appropriate aquatic experiences at home and prepare them for an infant aquatic program.
We keep a ratio of one teacher to four parent-child pair so that the teacher can monitor and guide parents in their supports and techniques.
Our baby swimming lessons is focused on water familiarisation and water confidence, where babies learn to be aware of their bodies in relation to the water. Parents or caregivers are the education focus of the programme. Parents will be informed of the programme philosophy and aims: monitoring parent supports, guiding parent practices, introducing equipment, songs and activities, and providing education on the risks associated with aquatic environments.
Parents must assume responsibility for the supervision and learning of their babies during swimming lessons.
