Swimming is fun for the little ones!
MoovSwim had a toddler swimming lesson with our 2015 girls, V, A and I, and it was another splashing good time for parents and tods! The girls enjoyed having fun in the water, and they are getting more comfortable in kicking in the water. The fun activities encourage the tods to move about in the water by kicking, and enjoy the swishing motion of swimming.
Pouring water over their faces not only encourages our tods to be comfortable with eventual submersion! This activity also encourages toddlers to learn voluntary breath control, which is an essential skill to pick up for swimming. When water flows down the toddlers’ faces, they have to learn to hold their breaths so that they will not choke on the water flowing down.
The toddlers proceeded to do basic paddling actions with the help of the noodles. Consistency in attending lessons and going through the repetitive motions help in refining and honing the gross motor skills required for swimming!
